Re-recognition Of Painting

Since it emerged tens of thousands years ago,painting has been with along with the growth of humans.The role painting plays in the society constantlychanges.The content of painting had strong social utility at the beginning,such asdescription and symbolization,whether in hunting,labor or magic.With thedevelopment of society,increase in life standard and improvement of social functions,the decoration of painting is escalated,but the narration of contentsand functions of information communication have long been the main obligationof painting.Oil painting,which the crystallization of constant development andexploration of European painting,has quickly developed and matured only in a short period of several hundred years after it appeared in the Early Renaissance,with a unique and strong expression ability.Nowadays,oil painting is one of mainexpression means in western painting.Changes in the development of oil paintingbasically reflect the development clue of western painting.Western painting andsociety almost synchronously experienced many important transformations.Today,as an expression form of art,painting becomes plentiful,pure,rational andfree.It expresses unique visual aesthetics in an exclusive way and enriches the world from a unique angle.This paper intends to discuss a shallow understandingof the property of painting from the perspective of research on the developmenthistory of painting.
