Shame is a painful emotion caused by some wrong, inappropriate or absurd behavior, and an emotional experience caused by psychological injury.Because there are few study on shame risk assessment. This study explores the role of shame in risk assessment by means of different experimental paradigms, and methodologies including questionnaires and experiments. The study 1 explores the role of state shame in risk assessment under the recollection imagination paradigm. It adopted 2×2 inter group experimental design,in which emotion priming and gender is used as independent variables,in additional shame emotion rating and risk preference is as dependent variables. The results have showed that the shame performance in the shame start group was significantly higher than that of the neutral emotion priming group, and the risk preference of the shame start group was also significantly higher than that of the neutral emotional priming group, but there is no gender difference in shame rating and risk preference.Study 2 is the preliminary stage of the hypothesis under the study 3 in which 3scenario simulation paradigm are completed by means of experiment. In the term of methodology,a 2×2 mixed experiment was used to collect 9 situations.Study 3 explores the role of state shame in risk assessment under the paradigm of situational simulation.A 2×2 mixed experiment was designed as the independent variables which includes the type of the story and gender,at the same time the assessment of shame and the willingness of risk behavior is used as the dependent variable. As a result,it has showed that the strength of shame of the story was significantly higher than the neutral story of strength,in additional the willingness to risk behavior shame the story was also significantly higher than the neutral story, and there is interaction between gender and story type.Further simple effect analysis showed that the willingness to risk behavior in male subjects under the story of shame the higher than female subjects.Study 4 explores shame proneness on risk assessment,it based on the research of Qian Mingyi et al.(2000)the establishment of College Students' sense of shame scaleand refer to Allais paradox risk tendency scale. The results of this study shows that there is no significant gender differences among the College Students' attitude to sense of shame, and Shame Proneness on risk propensity does not have significant predictive effect. This study proves that compared with trait shame, state shame can improve personal risk preference, and it is found that men's willingness to risk behaviors in shame stories is higher than that of women in a scenario simulation paradigm with better ecological validity. Therefore, the impact of shame on personal risk preference and the chemical significance of shame are proved preliminarily.
