The theory of human nature is an eternal topic in Chinese philosophy. In today’s society, the material conditions are extremely rich, the moral level has been declining, and some areas of society and some local areas are out of morality, which is enough to arouse people’s attention. To improve the moral level of the society,we must study human-related issues. This article compares the human nature theory of Xunzi and Han Fei,and discusses the similarities and differences between the Confucianism and the theory of human nature. Some of Xunzi’s views on good and evil were inherited by Han Fei,but the two have significant differences. This difference reflects the fundamental difference between the Confucian and the Legalists.Although Xun Zi advocates the evil of human,he hopes to transform human nature through education and make people good;while Han Fei wants to rely on the law to restrict evil and establish a stable society. Finally, through the summarization and analysis of human nature, starting from the construction of civil morality, and inheriting the traditional virtues formed by the Chinese nation for thousands of years,we strive to establish a socialist moral system that is compatible with the development of a socialist market economy, and to promote the building of the country with Chinese characteristics. The great cause of socialism is of great significance.
