Mu Wenxi And His Study Of "The Four History Of History"

Mu Wenxi,JingFu,known as ShaoChun,born in DongMing Country in Ming Dynasty.He was a person paying attention to solar terms and advocating justice and has resigned his government post for two times because of justice.Eventually he returned to the hometown and built a study called "XiaoYao Garden"and in which he devoted himself to the books and leaving not a few works for later generations.In the middle and late Ming Dynasty,it was the time of the study of Historical Records.Mu Wenxi was fond of reading history books from a child,especially the Historical Records.He commented on and criticized the Historical Records and got twelve volume texts,which were revenue in SiShi HongCai afterwards.This book,similaring to the style of Ling Zhilong the Aggregation of criticism on the Historical Records,is the academic works of an independent thought which have formed a school of his own.To a certain extent,it also reflects the focus and acceptance of the Ming Dynasty scholars on the Historical Records,which is helpful for us to study the Historical Records in the acceptance and dissemination of later generations.However,as it doesn’t attract the academic interests,there are not any researches on Mu Wenxi and his works currently.The paper researches Mu Wenxi and his Historical Records CongCai and probes into its literature values.The contents of this thesis are mainly divided into four parts as follows:The fist part is introduction,mainly depicting its research significance,research status and research methods.Then there is a introduction of Mu Wenxi’s family background in the first chapter by combing the collected information about Mu Wenxi,Mu Wenxi’s informaition in the second part and expounds the works and its contents as well as version in the third section.The third part is the reason analysis of the Historical Records of SiShi HongCai from the two aspects of social influence and his interested and the introduction of the contents and various versions of Historical Records CongCai.The key point of this chapter is the introduction of the book compiled content from three aspects with detailed examples.There is also something about the use of version.The last part depicts the literature value of Historical Records CongCai.It not only has greatly helped on reading of Historical Records,but also plays a positive role in the process of Historical Records into a classic of literature.
