On Locke's National Doctrine

Locke's national theory has always been a hot topic in the study of Chinese and foreign scholars.But many scholars' research on the theory is generally unreligious,and they think that the theological language of the theory is only a hypothesis.Locke's concerning questions has nothing to do with religion.Even though there are literatures on his political theory which are studied in the perspective of religion,the literatures always only present a single political theory,such as the theory of the religious foundation of the natural state and property right,and so on.Few scholars make a systemic research on Locke's national theory in the perspective of religion.Therefore,the purpose of this article is to make a systematic research on Locke's national theory in the perspective of religion,trying to explain the hidden religious factors in his national doctrine,so as to find a "real" Locke and its true national doctrine.The method used in this paper is the text of intensive reading.Through reading its text,we can analyze the hidden religious factors in the text,in order to re-comb Locke's national doctrine.This article re-combs Locke's national doctrine,beginning with Locke's refutation with Sir Robert Filmer's patriarchy theory in the "two treatises of government".In the medieval monarchical power spectrum,it is difficult to research on the power origin of politic.To re-establish a power spectrum of the politic power,we must first break down the divine right theory,with which we can re-discuss the origin of power.Locke's refutation cleans up the obstacle of power theory,on the basis of this;this paper discusses the theoretical basis of natural law theory,natural state theory,social contract theory and property right theory in Locke's national doctrine,and finally discuss the theory of division of powers and the theory of separation of church and state.In this study,the political theory of Locke's national doctrine basically has a Christian foundation,which is the purpose of God's creation,that is,to save mankind and preserve society in order to glorify God,which is the Theoretical foundation of the whole national doctrine.If there is a lack of this theoretical foundation,Locke's national theory of freedom,equality,natural human rights theory is difficult to be explained.Therefore,re-combing Locke's national doctrine in the perspective of religion is an indispensable step to have a better understanding of Locke's national theory.
