Research On Language Ability Of Aviation Service Majors In Higher Vocational Colleges

Linguistic competence is a significant component for flight attendants.Shouldering the responsibility of the aviation security and representing the aviation service level of our country,flight attendants are evaluated by communication abilities and skills for basic qualities.Therefore,it is necessary to enhance the training of linguistic competence of the students who are majoring in aviation service.Based on the investigation of the linguistic competence of the aviation service personnel and the Bachman linguistic competence theory,this studyhas built a linguistic competence dimension for the aviation service majors in higher vocational colleges(language cognitive ability,language emotional ability and linguistic behavior ability).According to the dimension,we have reset the language courses and carried on a reform in teaching content,the cultivation approaches of emotional ability,the practice forms of linguistic behavior ability,etc.during the language ability cultivation of the aviation service majors in higher vocational colleges.And we also put forward the corresponding strategies timely to improve linguistic competence.After two years' empirical study,the reform has turned out to be effective and the language abilities of the aviation service majors are obviously improved.
