| Since 2010,the Chinese mainland youth nostalgic films have made great developments,which has become a wonder in China’s film industry.We will find it has some relationship with the collective nostalgia of 80’s generation that has become a common feature to them.Study youth nostalgic movies from 2010 has significance and value,which not only may change the perceptual understanding to youth nostalgic films and enhance the interpretation of the hit phenomenon of current youth nostalgia,but also can understand cultural characteristics of the time.Which is a good response to the development of times.The youth films from 2010 have built youth images for the audience.Some goods,for example,music and events with the characteristics of that time come into audiences.Which make audience seem to see the stories happened in the1990’s.Seeing from the youth series from 2010,we find that these stories are told from two dimensions of the present and the past.We can find that these films have similar cultural representations in the historical events and narrative parts.We can find some changes from these youths from innocence,enthusiastic to rebel and cynicism,which represents the confrontation between youth subculture and the mainstream culture.For these young generations,nostalgia is pure,but in the age of mercantilism and times of consumption,the beautiful image cannot get rid of the commercial ideology.This paper will make research to the mainland nostalgic films since 2010,by using the theory of Birmingham’s youth subculture and text analysis to analyze the developments of the Chinese mainland youth nostalgic films and have comprehensive analyses to some representative films in theme summarization,culture connotation and so on. |
