Research On The Economic History Of The Song Dynasty During The Republic Of China

The study of the economic history of Song Dynasty in China began in the early 20th century,and it showed a trend of rapid development in later forty years.During those years,a large number of historians joined the field,many valuable works have been printed.But modern scholars did not find the value of the works which was written from 1912 to 1949.when they reviewed the reviewed them.It made a bright pearl,those valuable works,been buried for a long time.Based on the works of economic history of Song Dynasty was written from 1912 to 1949,this paper tries to use different methods such as sorting,induction,comparison,analysis,synthesis to measure the historic value of these works,clarify their achievements,and judge these works objectively.Firstly,this paper analyzes the development course of the study of the economic history of Song Dynasty from 1912 to 1949 and believes in 1933-1936 and in 1947 there were two summits.There is a research system formed based on many journals,the mainstay of the system is Shi Huo,Bulletin of Institute of History and Philosophy and Central Daily News,other journals are important parts of the system.Secondly,this paper reviews the achievements of the study of Song Dynasty agriculture.And finds scholars have made outstanding works in several areas,such as the land property rights,land annexation,agricultural taxation and land reform policy.Thirdly,this paper judges the value of those works of commercial agriculture,handicrafts,marketing,commerce,money and urban of Song Dynasty was written from 1912 to 1949,based on recent research results.Finally,this paper argues that the study of the economic history of Song Dynasty from 1912 to 1949 has three characteristics.First,emphasizing the importance of historical data not only brings the advantage but also brings some problems.Second,Historical materialism is introduced into historical research.Third,academic research topics are really close to reality.
