In this paper,what this research focuses on is the children's literature works of Cheng Wei written after 2008 when she returned to the literary arena and continued her writing. Cheng Wei is a children's literature writer who has moved to Germany. This paper intends to explore her works'unique significance and establish their position in the history of literature based on the analysis of these works' contents as well as the specific art form. Cheng Wei's creations written in the return period have contents that rich in cross-cultural meanings. The contents that involve cross-culture between Chinese and western culture attribute to the broad cultural vision. Besides, the combination of cultural content and the poetic art form make her works present a kind of uniqueness which is not showing in the general culture writing novels.In this paper, the structure is organized as follows:The introduction part introduces what this thesis mainly focuses on and the significance of this research. Additionally,after the statement of Cheng Wei's wiriting experience till now,this part sketches out and summarize the current studies related to her works. What is more, the definition of the key concept —"cross-culture"— which is essential to this paper is also stated.The main body of this paper is divided into four chapters: the first chapter will comprehensively discusses the rich and extensive cultural content of the children's literature creations written by Cheng Wei in her return period, in order to find the cultural attitude that the author holds. The Second chapter summarizes the characteristics of the narrative strategy: the Chinese culture and the western culture are regarded as the two focal points of the ellipse. The third chapter studies her novels' poetic as well as artistic features. To be more specific, the poetic artistic features refers to the images presenting in the novels and the consideration about life. In the fourth chapter, Cheng Wei's works are put in the dual environment of domestic children's literature and the oversea Chinese children's literature exploring the importance and uniqueness of her works that is written in her return period.In the conclusion part, the paper summarizes the viewpoints mentioned above with the analysis of Cheng Wei's contribution in translation as a supplement toward this issue. Apart from,there exists the great expressiveness in Cheng Wei' novels in comparison of oversea Chinese adult literature.
