The post-1980s literature is one of most influential phenomena in 20th century.Different from the earlier writers who prefer to show their influence through literary periodicals, critics' reviews, and the literal history, the post-1980s writers attempt to break the traditional model by connecting themselves with publishing company,media, and readers: They launch their unique version of literary periodicals. Among many new versions of literary periodicals edited by the generation after 80s writers, MOOK Newriting edited by Zhang Yueran and Zhou Jianing has been well received because MOOK is unique. Newriting is a literary periodical which reflects gaps between generations. It focuses on the 1980's generation and creates a platform for them to explore the possibility of literary creation without constraint. Therefore, the thesis takes Newriting as a starting point to review the brief history of the post-1980s literature and analyze the new literature image of the generation after 80s writers after they no longer work on Youth Literature.Chapter One describes the features across post-80s generations and the background of the 1980's generation. This chapter points out the 1980's generation lives in the period of social transition, besides the influence of consumption culture and popular culture, both their values and literature views totally different from their parents. Chapter Two compares Newriting with traditional literary periodicals to highlight the inmovation of Newriting.Chapter Three reports on the change of the generation after 80s writers' literature image in three aspects of personal writing, feminine literature, and social responsibility of young writes. Chapter Four reveals the interactional relationship between Newriting and Chinese Literature History.In conclusion,Newriting is a breakthrough both in terms of the development of literary periodicals, and in the development of Chinese contemporary literature and culture.the generation after 80s writers like Zhang Yueran and Zhou Jianing express their literature views through MOOK, bring vitality to the literature journal publishing market which almost in charge of by "80 former" editor. In addition,the generation after 80s writers create works around Newriting and try to break the innate idea. Therefore, studying change and development of the post-1980s literature is significant.
