| This paper is focusing on the independent curator HouHanru’s early curatorial practice,centering around the large-touring exhibition "Cities on the Move"(1997-2000)which is co-curated with HansUlrich Obrist,mainly using literature analysis method to explore Hou Hanru’s curatorial language from the levels of social context、exhibition concept、theme、pattern and sort out his exhibition clues.Based on the time and space,the first part of the paper discusses HouHanru’s early life and learning experience,from 1970s "Boyhood" to 1980s "inside and outside CAFA"and 1990s "Fresh Off the Boat";Revolving around Hou Hanru’s early curatorial practice;the second part analyses the "In-between、Beyond"、"The third space" and"Glocal" curatorial strategy and summarizes the subject of urban issues;from the methodology perspective,the third part investigates the exhibition’s mode including "rehearsal"、"cross-boundary" and "self-organi zation" etc. |
