As an important writer of Chinese present literature,Mo Yan established his writing style via learning from foreign literature and digging into local literature resource.Western literature trend enabled Mo Yan to discover his real self in literary writing: he learned from the Faulkner's and Marquez's fictions and constructed his literature system of Gaomi-township in his literary works.What's more,he tried to write fantasy literature works with Chinese characteristics using mythical thought.Chinese myth and folklore not only provide Mo Yan with inexhaustible inspiration and writing materials but also make his works magical.Artistic nutrition in both Chinese and foreign literature,keen senses and his own literary understanding enabled Mo Yan to form his own ‘Magic Writing'.The Magic Writing is not a brief summarization of Magic Realism Literature.It is also not the study of his works under the framework of any literature doctrine.Magic Writing is focused on the explanation of the magic content in Mo Yan's works and the study of Mo Yan's aesthetic request.Writing as an ordinary person,Mo Yan is fond of writing folktales in his hometown and creating folk figures.The folk world in his works is a reflection of aesthetic outlook on vigorous primitive vitality.His folk world also displays an orgiastic life form to some degree.The carnivalization of literature tends to destruct established life order or authority and present the authenticity in some way.From the perspective of tradition view,the carnivalization of literature means an aberration from the norm,which is new to reading expectations of readers.Therefore,the carnivalization of literature is magical.Besides literature carnivalization,Mo Yan's magical writing is also due to his unique way of feeling writing.When he looks at a new thing,he uses all his senses and gains a comprehensive insight into it,such as its smell,sound,color and so on.This way of feeling life affects his way of writing,leading to synaesthesia descriptions different from conventional narration in his works.What's more,Mo Yan also writes stories about immortals and ghosts,breaking boundaries of life-death and time-space.His works display the mysterious relationship between human and nature,which is a literary reflection of animism and myths.In fact,beneath the surface of his magic writing lies reality such as authentic life forms,animism,folk field with freedom and filth,true feelings.Mo Yan displays this reality without any decorations.Therefore,his literature works are aberrations from daily routines and ethics and display a characteristic of magic.This article discusses Mo Yan's magic writing and can be divided into four parts.The introduction part gives a survey of Mo Yan's literary creation and an overview of existingresearch results on Mo Yan's magic writing.The introduction part also purifies the conception of Magic Realism Literature and gives.the definition of magic writing.Chapter one mainly focuses on the characteristics of Mo Yan's magic writing: the construction of carnivalized folk world,the application of mythical thought,the description of clustered feelings.In chapter two,we analyze the text of Mo Yan's magical literature works specifically and find that Mo Yan performs his magic writing mainly in three aspects: creating vivid ghost figures,building the changeful world of Samsara and describing the similarity in personality between humans and ghosts.In chapter three,we try to find the causes of his magic writing.The form of his writing characteristics is due to his childhood experiences,the affection of animism and learning from great writers.
