Research On The Auxiliary Verbs In The History Of The New Five Dynasties

Chinese auxiliary verb is a closed class within the verb,has its own characteristics,widely used in spoken and written language.Linguists have made full achievements in this research.Among them,in the modern Chinese language the study of Chinese auxiliary verbs is more complete.The research results of ancient and mediaeval times are less than modern Chinese language,and after mediaeval time the results of Chinese auxiliary verbs are least.Mr.Wang Li has also put forward: “For the study of Chinese history,we should do some researches on the study of dating”.Therefore,the author selected the “New Five Dynasties History”as a corpus,the book most of the language used in the form of notes,this reflects the true face of the language at that time.In order to describe the whole use of “New Five Dynasties History”,the author explores the regularization of the development of the auxiliary verb,and compares it with the use of the auxiliary verb in the previous period,and combines the static and dynamic research.Hoping to contribute to the modern Chinese auxiliaries to provide some useful information for the study of modern grammar history.The author studies the Chinese auxiliary of “New Five Dynasties History” into four parts:The first part is the introduction,divided into three sections to discuss.The first section is that the author summarizes the previous research results from the perspective of linguistics,historical and cultural,content and methods of compilation of “New Five Dynasties History”.It can be seen that the “New Five Dynasties History” is lacking in grammar research and is still blank in the study of Chinese auxiliary verbs.In the second section,the author summarizes the research results of Chinese auxiliaries,and summarizes and evaluates the relevant theories.In the third section,the author defines the Chinese auxiliary verbs of “New Five Dynasties History”.The second part is the study of the Chinese auxiliary of “New Five Dynasties History”.The part researches and analyzes Chinese auxiliaries from the meaning and syntactic structure.The third part is to select some typical auxiliary verbs in “New Five Dynasties History” to describe and explore its evolution,and try to find out the regularization of development of auxiliary words.The fourth part is a comparative study of the Chinese auxiliary of “New Five Dynasties History”.This chapter compares the use of auxiliary verbs in the “New Five Dynasties History”,and compares them with the use of pre-Qin,medieval and modern Chinese auxiliaries respectively,summarizes the regularization of development and explores its causes.
