The Relationship Between The Flute Concerto "Shan Le" And The Traditional Music Culture Of The Aborigines

一、Motivation and purposeI started to learn bamboo flute since I was in Taiwan and kept accepting the advanced training program in the Central Conservatory f Music in China.The bamboo flute concerto"Music from the Mountain" is a featured music of the minority in Taiwan.With my experiences in musical field,I hope to better understand the bamboo flute concerto through the analysis and research.Furthermore,I expect the musical cultural of the minority can be better and deeper acknowledged by everyone.Recently,as the changing of the political and humanist circumstances in Taiwan,local consciousness and cultural of Hakka and aboriginal people gradually gained its attention.However,many aboriginal tribes only inherited their cultural verbally and were lack of formal text to preserve their culture.Thus resulting the diminishing of the fine traditions of the cultural and serious gap with modern society.During my flute training period in Beijing,I had played many different styles of music,and tried various of flute playing techniques.I firstly encountered the "Music from the Mountain",created by Mr.Lu-Yun in 2005,at the concert held by Tainan Chinese Orchestra in Tainan,Taiwan,2016.1 was impressed by the music and made up my mind to further explore the different aspects of the aboriginal musical materials.The whole composition is divided in to four chapters.First chapter is called "the old man with face-tatooed",second chapter is called "the children playing in the forest",third chapter is called "the song of Ka-viaz",and fourth chapter is called "the dace of the braves".In the chapters,they not only mimicked the sound of wind and eagle,but the effect of Shakuhachi.The structure of the composition has a great affection to the audience.二、MethodsThrough the composer’s description to all chapters,exploration to different tribes of aboriginal music in Taiwan and listening to various styles of music in tribes,I have more comprehensive and detailed information to further understand the composer’s mind and the process of composition.
