Bing Xin is a unique existence in the history of Chinese literature in the 20th Century.In her nearly 80 years of writing career,proses and novels have been throughout,and it often presents the phenomenon of“stylistic mutual permeability”that“We rely on each other and belong to each other mutually”in her works.She has left us a lot of works with distinctive style and unique style,so she is a writer worthy of study.Because the phenomenon of“stylistic mutual permeability”in Bing Xin’s works presents different characteristics in different periods,this thesis divides her works into three periods:the early period(1919-1950),the middle period(1951-1966)and the later period(1977-1999),on the basis of taking the time node of the transition of Bing Xin’s literary style as the demarcation point.Then it will explore the manifestations,causes and significances of Bing Xin’s“stylistic mutual permeability”in each period from different angles.In addition,with the view of“stylistic mutual permeability”,the author holds the overall grasp of the literary style of Bing Xin’s works,and thus broadens the research perspective of Bing Xin.In the introduction part,the author illuminates the necessity of the study of the phenomenon of“stylistic mutual permeability”in Bing Xin’s works at first,and then focuses on the interpretation of the theoretical concept of“stylistic mutual permeability”.At the same time,the author analyzes the history and present situation of the study on Bing Xin,and points out the significance and value of the study on Bing Xin from the perspective of“stylistic mutual permeability”.The first chapter discusses the cross-border style in the early works of Bing Xin.Bing Xin is one of the female writers who take the road of literary creation in the period of the May 4thMovement.As the first pioneer of modern Chinese literature,it has become Bing Xin’s conscious literary pursuit to get rid of the restraints of the old literature and to explore the new way of literature development in the May 4th literature tide of reform and innovation.However,Bing Xin who is a new writer in the literary world is not so clear about the stylistic boundaries,which makes her early works often show the phenomenon of cross stylistic boundaries.While this kind of writing style with open literary style also makes the early Bing Xin unique in the literary world.The second chapter discusses the cross-style writing of Bing Xin’s works in the middle period.It can be described that middle-aged Bing Xin has remembered the stylistic boundaries in her deep heart.But Bing Xin at this time does not write her works formally in accordance with the style criterion in her literary creation,she makes the test of“stylistic mutual permeability”positively.She also tries to inject fresh blood into the literary genre,and so as to expand the dimension that literary writing can follow.Therefore,the prosaic tendency of novels and the novelization of prose have become the most prominent feature of Bing Xin’s works in the middle period.But this kind of writing techniques that breaks the stylistic boundaries and pursues the intersection and integration of literature genre makes Bing Xin’s literary creation in this period present a unique stylistic features.The third chapter discusses the reflection of stylistic mutual permeability in Bing Xin’s later works.After experiencing ten years of the“Cultural Revolution”,Bing Xin’s literary creation in this period still copies the writing pattern of her middle period due to the limitations of writing inertia and social mores,from 1977 to 1979after the“Cultural Revolution”.After 80s,Bing Xin has made a profound reflection of her former test of“stylistic mutual permeability”under the resultant force influence of the real life and literary atmosphere.Since then,she has changed her literary concept and strive to return to the writing pattern of traditional literary.This change makes Bing Xin’s literary works in her later years reveal the distinctive spiritual characteristics and literary pursuit of a centural aged woman. |
