The Study Of Alphabetic Words In Thai Chinese Newspapers

Chinese newspapers are an important source of information for overseas Chinese,at the same time,it reflects the appearance of overseas chinese.As an important part of new words,letter words have been paid more and more attention by scholars for more than a decade,and has made a lot of groundbreaking achievements.However,the study of letter words is still inadequate.I live in Thailand for one year of Chinese volunteer teacher,with great influence “The Sing Sian Yer Pao Daily News” as the object,focusing on the March 2016 journal,a total of 31 copies and 700 editions.I select the letter words all kinds of news reports as the content to study the Thai Chinese newspapers in the letter words,in which a total of 962 letter words.This paper mainly uses the method of language contact theory,the lexical theory,and the three plane theory,the combination of qualitative and quantitative to analyze the letter words in the Chinese newspaper.In addition to the introduction and conclusion,this paper consists of four chapters:The first chapter: The use condition of letter words about The Sing Sian Yer Pao Daily News.There are three sections: word formation analysis,word creation analysis,and semantic analysis.In the aspect of word formation,the pure word has an absolute advantage,the Thai alphabet and numbers of word formation is a main feature;In the aspect of word creation analysis,which mainly uses five kinds of word creation: citation method,abbreviation method,pictographic method,metonymy method,heterozygous method;In the aspect of semantics,the semantic of letter words includes distinguished name,economic science and technology and other six categories,the largest number of distinguished name letter words among them.Chapter two: Analysis of the Characteristics of letter words about The Sing Sian Yer Pao Daily News.The author studies the collected corpus,analyzes the structure,semantics,grammar and pragmatic features of letter words.In terms of structure,the number of pure foreign letters is the highest,and there is a certain number of Thai letter words;In terms of semantics,the proportion of distinguished name is the highest;In terms of grammar,nouns are absolute superiorities,forms of flexible usage of parts of speech are various,and it fully embodies the Chinese pragmatic characters of highlighting theme and transmitting information in letter words.Chapter three: Sample analysis of The Sing Sian Yer Pao Daily News and the People's Daily.In common,the main source is English abbreviation,nouns more;In difference,The letter words of The Sing Sian Yer Pao Daily News is relatively wide,the quantity is more,the word shape is longer,the letter words atypical is stronger,and part of the letter words reflect the social situation in Thailand.Chapter four: The use of letter words and norms of letter words about The Sing Sian Yer Pao Daily News.First,point out the existing problems in the use of letter words in the pronunciation,the form,the meaning and the error problems and so on,and then put forward the principle of norms for the use of letter words in Chinese newspapers.Through the study of the letter words in the Chinese newspapers,this paper can make some useful explorations on the study of letter words in the Chinese newspapers,and enriche the vocabulary study of the overseas Chinese newspapers.At the same time,by comparison,to explore the overseas Chinese newspapers and domestic Chinese newspapers in the use of letter words on the similarities and differences,and put forward some suggestions to use of letter words more targeted and effective of the Chinese newspapers.
