Different Trajectories Of The "May 4th" Enlightenment Spirit

Zhou Libo and Han Shaogong are both Hunan native writers.Although born in different eras,Han Shaogong grew in the Yan’an Period and Zhou Libo in the new era(after the revolution and opening-up policy was introduced),they created literary works concerning the enlightenment spirit of the May 4th movement.And from their works,one can get a hint of the development spirit in different eras and in different writers.We hold a particular interest in these two writers because their writing were tainted with Huxiang culture,which resulted in their similar cultural quality.As the source of thinking in different eras,the enlightenment spirit and Huxiang culture not only brought the two writers similar literary ambition and interest,but also contributed to their difficult cultural pursuit.Therefore,comparing the differences and similarities in the literary thoughts of the two writers is of great significance to the spirit trends and development of the modern literature,especially the lasting effect of the enlightenment spirit of the May 4thmovment.In the introduction part,i want to analyse the paper’s main research and innovation.With two writers’ carrying forward the enlightenment spirit as the entry point,the paper is going to discuss the possibility of the inheritance and transcendence of enlightenment spirit and the importance of rebuilding the spiritual world in the modern society.The first chapter,Zhou Libo and Han Shaogong are writers from Hunan,the Hunan culture had bring their childhood experience together;in addition,the same intellectual identity let them have the same position in view of problems.The second chapter compares the differences between Zhou Libo and Han Shaogong from the following aspects: the difference of age,the attitude towards the mainstream ideology and the different perspectives of the author.The second chapter compares with the first chapter,which is more comprehensive from the writer’s creative psychology,personal writing style and the gradual evolution of literary ideas.The third chapter,popularity is a common feature of Zhou Libo and Han Shaogong,they are interested in the daily life of ordinary people,seeding deep concern and care to the farmers in the social change destiny,this reflects Zhou Libo and Han Shaogong has deep feelings of popularity,at the same time,description of the folk custom and situation is also a existence way of popularity,this is the inevitable result of enlightenment spirit.In the new period,we are face of the increasingly complex and diverse social problemthe fall of the spirit of nation is not conducive to social sustainable development and the moral bottom line is continual breakthroughs,how to reconstruct the spiritual world and to ensure the independence of Chinese nation and outside communication in the world are now we need to thinking,and inheritance and beyond the spirit of May 4th movement enlightenment is a more reasonable scheme.
