Ma Li, who was styled as "Bo Xun" and "Xi Tian", lived in Sanyuan (Shaanxi Sanyuan nowadays) in Ming Dynasty. By devoted himself to study,he had finished several works, such as "Sishuzhujie" "Zhouyizanyi" "Shangshushuyi" "Shijingshanyi" "Zhoulizhujie" "Chunqiuxiuyi" "Shanxitongzhi" and "Xitianwenji". Among which, eleven volumes of Xitianwenji, one volume of Fuyi, one of Xubuyi and one of Souyi were the poems by Ma li, which contained 153 articles and 484 poems of 313 themes.This article aims to study the poems from Xitianwenji. Except the Introduction, the main content is formed by the study of Ma Li's life, poems and articles, which is edited in two parts, first of the parts is the study and discussion of Ma Li himself and his poems.The Introduction is to indicate the meaning, research method and achievement of the study, to show that by studying Ma Li, who was knowledgeable and productive, will help to know the lifestyle, mental attitude and development of literature in Central Shaanxi in middle Ming Dynasty.Chapter one of the first part is the study of Ma Li's family background, biography and works. With several reliable reference, there will be a detailed introduction of these contents, then will focus on the various versions of Xitianwenji.In Chapter two, Ma Li's poems are discussed and sorted in four types according to different themes, which are farewell and respond poems, history and expression poems, pastoral and landscape poems, and objects and painting poems.Chapter three will focus on Ma Li's creation style and characteristic by discussing the type, style and rhetoric of his works.The second part of this article is the collation and rearrangement of Ma Li's existed poems and makes a new precise and reliable text.
