A Study Of Manchu Translation In The Classical Novels Of The Han Nationality In The Qing Dynasty

The Manchu translation of Chinese classical novels in the Qing Dynasty occupies an important position in Manchu cultural and literary field.However,as a kind of cultural and literary phenomenon,the Manchu translation of Chinese classical novels doesn’t obtain scholars’ enough attention in today’s academic circle.In view of the existing research results,although there were some scholars had did some research in this area,it still hasn’t form a comprehensive research system.Therefore,this paper did a comprehensive and in-depth study on the background of Manchu translation of Chinese classical novels in the Qing Dynasty,which includes the cultural environment,national policy,and the government and folk’s translation activities in that era.On the basis of the study,this paper will systematically discuss the translation background,translation subject,text functions and communication values of the classical novels translation in the Qing Dynasty from the perspective of communication.In the first chapter,it mainly reveals the reason of the novel translation,which is that the Qing’s ruler was fond of Chinese classical novels,and he expected to pursue the military significance in them.The second part mainly discusses the characteristics of the translation subject and the whole translation process of the Manchu translation of Chinese classical novels.The third chapter introduces the functions of Chinese classical novels translation in the Qing Dynasty,which includes its cognitive function,aesthetic function and educational function.The last chapter discusses the value of cultural dissemination of the translated classical novels.It can spread the Han culture,improve the cognitive level of Manchu people,and help them understand the Han culture quickly and effectively.The innovation of the article lies on that it explores the motivation and cultural environment of the novel translation,and finally concludes the characteristics and functions of cultural transmission during the process of Manchu translation of Chinese classical novels in the Qing Dynasty.And it should be noted that,this paper is formed in the method of literature survey.Based on the collection of the related research results,this paper mainly analyzes the features of the Manchu translation of Chinese classical novels in the Qing Dynasty,and it also reveals the law and theoretical quality of cultural development and cultural dissemination.
