This section also definite some concept involved in article. The second section is the main body of this thesis and it can be divided into four chapter. The first chapter is about the development of cognition about famine in Middle Ages. This chapter summarized the main famine types, peoples'cognition about becoming of famine and government's disaster relief system. It analyzed the factors what influenced the true effect of government disaster relief system at last. The second chapter is about the daily life of people who suffered from disasters. At the same time, disasters also have a great influence to some social industries just like Vintage and Butchery. The third chapter is about nongovernmental power in disaster relief. Religion power give victims materialistic, spiritual and medical help because of mercy in Buddhism and to promote its teachings. Squires proceed from Charity in Confucianism and the purpose of improve family fame, they also participate in disaster relief actively. Religion and Squires are two important power in disaster relief activity, they are the important complements of government action. The last chapter is about victims'medical assistance. Plague is a special disaster, it can break out as a disaster singly, and can also break out as an secondary disasters. So government attach importance to Plague Relief, but because of the shortage in medical resources, government measures are very far from enough. Doctors among the people, monks or Taoist priest are also incapable. So Plague was a serious threat for victims.Currently, researches on famine are mostly focused on Official Disaster Relief System, so this is belongs to the category of History of Political System. Researchers still payed less attention to Ordinary people's life, in this article, I will start from aspects of victims'daily diet, nongovernmental power in disaster relief and victims' medical assistance, try my best to restore true appearances of Ordinary people in natural disasters.
