The Tang Dynasty is one of the most serious dynasties of eunuch dictatorship in Chinese history, after the "An-shi Rebellion", the decline of national power was increasingly severe. During this period, eunuch dictatorship and local separate regime politics are the biggest threats to imperial power, especially eunuch dictatorship. The eunuchs had gradually interferenced affairs of state, administered the military, and even controled the emperors'dethronement, removed the elder and set the younger on the throne since Tang xuanzong dynasty, when comes to the reasons of eunuch dictatorship, many historiographers put the emperors'fatuity and local separate regime politics first, however, they scarcely pay attention to the "No empress" which almost appeared along with the eunuch dictatorship and lasted more than 100 years. In the Tang Dynasty, because of the influence of north nationalities, the status of women had heen improved greatly, the empress, as the highest female ruler, began to participate in the political field more extensively than before. In the early Tang Dynasty, the empress's participation in politics was more than once, therefore, in the late Tang Dynasty, "No empress" indicated that empresses and their families would not participate in the political field, which had eliminated the obstacles for eunuchs. In addition, "No empress"means"No trueborn eldest son", as a result of which, the lineal primogeniture system had been destroyed, for all these reasons and more, the eunuchs took over the power of country. The emperors lost the authority to restrict eunuchs, what'more, The unbalanced distribution of the country's power center was more and more critical, then accelerated the perish of the Tang Dynasty. This article is divided into three parts:the first part is research on the empresses in the Tang Dynasty, including their birth, native place and families. Combine the literature handed down from ancient times and unearthed epitaph, we can correct mistakes and fuzziness in historical records, and reveal the enpresses'origin and jarlig in the early Tang Dynasty and the middle and late Tang Dynasty. The second part is discussion on the phenomenon of "no empress" in the Southern and Northern Dynasties and the Tang Dynasty. We should summarize the profile and reasons of "no empress" in the Southern and Northern Dynasties, which can make a detailed comparison of "no empress" in the Tang Dynasty and find a contact and inheritance relationship between them. The last part is demonstrating how "no empress" affect eunuch dictatorship. Based on the previous research, this text will expound how "No empress" can affect eunuch dictatorship with three aspects for the first time, including puting an end to the empress's participation in politics, preventing the force of the empress's relative and breaking the lineal primogeniture system. And the article focuses on that as two important parts of ancient Chinese emporer system, how the empress and eunuch completed the power shift between them, how the eunuch filled the power vacancy and gained the emperor's trust, so that obtain homologous conclusion:as a result of puting an end to the empress's participation in politics, preventing the force of the empress's relative and breaking the lineal primogeniture system, "No empress" have an important effect on eunuch dictatorship.
