Urban Republic And Ideal Landscape: Abragio Lorenzetti Wet Mural Research

This paper aims to discuss the late medieval Sienese artists Ambrogio Lorenzetti, who painted the frescoes in Palazzo Pubblico:"The Allegory of Good Government" and "The Effects of Good Government on Town and Country "," The Effects of Bad Government on Town and Country ", combining with the genres of allegory, the artist's life and works, the history background under the rule Nine. Then I will analyzing and comparing of existed researches on the frescoes. We are going to see the frescoes' studies in the allegory genres in the category of scholarship history and in the painting themes. Then combined living and working artists Ambrogio Lorenzetti, and his workshop's operations, discuss the relationship between the artist personal style, the medieval Siena painting tradition with the artist's personal style. In the "Nine" period, I will work in such a context to investigate the image and the medieval school teaching the theory of metaphor and the relationship between the rhetoric of metaphor, then discussed the personification with the nine ruling, town and country landscapes and the cycles of the labours of months and the motif "the children of the planets". The frescoes as a "Symbolism in the real scene," I will discuss influence of the image from the emotional to the public for Siena metaphorical moral. In addition, the full text of the discussion, I will combine the medieval Italian social background and religious traditions, as compared with the other paintings of this frescoes, revealing the fact that Lorenzetti used the old tradition or image program to gives a new scene.
