| There are many Hui nationalities in Xinjiang. In comparison to other nationalities, the growing environment of Hui teenagers is found with many unfavorable factors: the educational level of their parents is generally low, the economic conditions are limited and the family is very susceptible to traditional Islamic concept. Among their peers, Hui teenagers are highly possible to be diagnosed with psychological problems, the reasons of which can be attributed to many with family factors as the major ones, of course, social factors and their own factors.The author of this study has received several Hui teenagers who come to consult about their psychological problems and selected 3 exemplary cases as the focus of this study, the psychological counseling methods adopted herein include rational emotive therapy, hypnosis therapy and systematic desensitization.Through intervention and treatment of Hui teenagers with psychological problems, this study makes preliminary summary about the features of prevalent psychological problems and puts forward measures, suggestions.The conclusion is stated as follows: the features of psychological problems among Hui teenagers in Xinjiang are: lack of confidence; serious “small group” thought and lack of overall awareness; serious romantic psychological warps. With respect to all features aforementioned, the school shall improve its psychological health education work to Hui teenagers in terms of psychological health education class, independent psychological counseling, group psychological counseling and class sponsor’s work.Meanwhile, the school needs to join parental and social strength to co-create favorable growing environment, help teenagers of all nationalities to build healthy and integrated personalities so as to guarantee a healthy, happy middle school time with their potentials can be explored to fullest extent. |
