Talking About The Application Of Interpretation Theory In Interpretation

As an important carrier of authoritative message from government, every year, the National People’s Congress and the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference ("two sessions" for short) get a lot of attention from domestic and international media. The "two sessions" press conference interpreting is with the characteristics of rich content, strong timeliness and high precision. The research object of this thesis is the "two sessions" press conference interpreting in 2013 and the theoretical basis is the Interpretive Theory of Paris School.This thesis, based on the "triangle model" theory and the interpreting measure of "faithfulness", with the "two sessions" press conference interpreting as a specimen, is mainly discussing the application of six interpreting strategies and their functions. The aim of this thesis is to illustrate that the application of proper interpreting strategies could meet the needs of information and culture communication effectively so as to contribute to the interpreting practice in consecutive interpreting situation.
