Correlation Analysis Between Preoperative Middle Urinary And Intraoperative Renal Pelvis And Urine Culture And Its Relationship With Postoperative Infection

Objective: To investigate the relationship between preoperative midstream urine and intraoperative renal pelvic urine in ureteroscopic Holmium laser(URL)lithotripsy and to study the correlation of postoperative infection.Method: From December 2013 to July 2014,98 patients(48 males and 50 females)underwent ureteroscopic Holmium laser lithotripsy.Preoperative midstream urine and intraoperative renal pelvic urine were cultured.The bacteria types and anti-biotic resistance spectrum were analyzed.The incidence of postoperative infection was compared.Result: URL of 98 cases were performed successfully.The positive rate of pre-operative midstream urine culture was 10.2%(10/98),while the positive rate of intraoperative renal pelvic urine culture were18.4%(18/98),and there was sig-nificant difference(P<0.05).The predominant bacteria were Escherichia coli,Proteus and Staphy1 ococcus.The postoperative infection ratios of patients with positive of preoperative midstream urine and intraoperative renal pelvic urine rena1 pelvic urine culture were20.0%(2/10)and 44.4%(8/18),and there was significant difference(P<0.05).Conclusion: The positive intraoperative rena1 pelvic urine germiculture has important significance for predicting the occurrence of postoperative infection of patients after URL.Prepare to preoperative midstream,ntraoperative renal pelvic urine culture and bacteria1 susceptibility test are helpfu1 for clini-ca1 treatment and rationa1 selection of antibiotics.
