Application Research Of Bitter Medicine Based On Data Mining In The Prescription

ObjectiveThe application of bitter drug in classical prescription was studied by the data mining method in this paper.Guided by quantitative thinking and supported by objective data,we strived to obtain objective,rigorous,normative,credible and convincing results to find out the experience of Zhang Zhongjing's application of bitter drugs.This study could provide some reference for clinical research of traditional Chinese medicine.MethodWith the help of database tool of Microsoft Office Access and the basis of Shang Han Lun and Jin Gui Yao Lue,firstly,we sorted out all prescriptions and their relevant original texts,and excluded duplicate prescriptions,contraindications and ambiguous symptoms.Then we collected and normalized the prescription drugs and related symptoms which met the requirements,and input these datas into Access software to establish a database for analysis and mining.Finally,we screened these inputted bitter drugs and mined the applications of bitter drugs in classical prescriptions.The main work mainly included two parts:1)The compatibility of bitter drugs commonly used in classical prescriptions were studied through data mining.2)The symptoms and signs of bitter drugs commonly used in classical prescriptions were studied through data mining.The data mining work was objective and detailed.The article not only presented the correlation of compatibility and the correlation of symptoms and sings of related drugs,but also provided the corresponding frequency,support degree and confidence degree(including confidence ? and confidence ?),then listed specific classical prescriptions of related compatibility and specific articles of related symptoms and signs of bitter drugs to ensure that all datas were available.Result1)The compatibility of bitter drugs commonly used in classical prescriptions were studied through data mining.The results showed that bitter drugs were often used in classical prescriptions with liquorice root,cassia twig,Chinese herbaceous peony,Chinese date,zingiber dried ginger,fresh ginger,rhubarb root and rhizome,pinellia tuber,ginseng,baical skullcap root,honey,immature orange fruit,officinal magnolia bark,gypsum,prepared common monkshood branched root,ephedra,manchurian wildginger,indian bread,bitter apricot seed,peach seed,Chinese angelica,wine,and so on.The specific compatibility results were summarized as follows:? 27 groups of the high-frequency compatibility correlations,such as ephedra to bitter apricot seed,baical skullcap root to pinellia tuber,largehead atractylodes to indian bread,were digged out through data mining.? 32 groups of the high-confidence compatibility correlations,such as Chinese thorowax root to baical skullcap root,officinal magnolia bark to immature orange fruit,peach seed to rhubarb root and rhizome,were digged out through data mining.? 52 groups of the trigerniny compatibility correlations,such as rhubarb root and rhizome to immature orange fruit and officinal magnolia bark,Chinese thorowax root to baical skullcap root and pinellia tuber,golden thread to zingiber dried ginger and ginseng,were digged out through data mining.? 9 groups of the multi-link compatibility correlations,such as golden thread to pinellia tuber,zingiber dried ginger and ginseng,rhubarb root and rhizome to pinellia tuber,Chinese thorowax root and baical skullcap root,rhubarb root and rhizome to peach seed,leech and cleg,were digged out through data mining.2)The symptoms and signs of bitter drugs were commonly used in classical prescriptions were studied through data mining.The results showed that in Shang Han Lun and Jin Gui Yao Lue,bitter drugs were often used in the treatment of fever,dysentery and diarrhea,vexation,abdominal pain,difficulty in micturition,abdominal fullness,sweating,aversion to wind and cold,body pain,floating pulse,asthma,vomit,thirsty,jaundice,hard stool,difficult defecation,ravings,and so on.The specific symptoms and signs of bitter drugs results were summarized as follows:?19 groups of the high-frequency correlations of the symptoms and signs of bitter drugs,such as rhubarb root and rhizome to difficult defecation,Chinese herbaceous peony to abdominal pain,Chinese thorowax root to vomit,were digged out through data mining.? 9 groups of the high-confidence correlations of the symptoms and signs of bitter drugs,such as snakegourd root to thirsty,golden thread to dysentery and diarrhea,cape jasmine fruit to jaundice,were digged out through data mining.? 58 groups of the trigeminy correlations of the symptoms and signs of bitter drugs,such as Chinese thorowax root to vomit and fever,rhubarb root and rhizome to fever and ravings,baical skullcap root to vomit and dysentery and diarrhea,were digged out through data mining.? 3 groups of the multi-link correlations of the symptoms and signs of bitter drugs,for example,rhubarb root and rhizome to difficult defecation,fever and ravings,were digged out through data mining.Conclusion1)For the compatibility of bitter drug in classical prescription,acrid drug is the most important one,followed by bitter drug and sweet drug.2)In Shang Han Lun and Jin Gui Yao Lue,bitter drugs are commonly used in the treatment of yang heat excess syndrome and syndrome of intermingled deficiency and excess.
