OBJECTIVES:This study analyzed the case data of all hospitalized patients with advanced cancer during the period from January 2015 to December 2016 in the Department of Oncology in a three-grade class-A hospital in Changsha,and analyzed its influencing factors of late treatment options for cancer patients.To provide scientific basis for the end-stage treatment of cancer patients.METHODS:To collect the data of all hospitalized patients with advanced cancer during the period from January 2015 to December 2016 in the Department of Oncology in a three-grade class-A hospital,and analyze the way of their end-stage treatment and its influencing factors.The information collected includes: the general condition of the patient(sex,age,ethnicity,religion,occupation,educational level,marital status,main caregiver,place of residence,total monthly income of family,type of medical expenses,physical activity Ability,family education,etc.),the patient's anti-tumor treatment(surgery,chemotherapy,radiotherapy),the patients' terminal treatment situation(who decided the patient's terminal treatment and the way of terminal treatment).Statistical analysis was performed by using percentage,composition ratio,mean,standard deviation,chi-square test and logistic regression.The test level was?= 0.05.RESULTS:1.The end-stage treatment way of cancer patients: In this 175 cases of cancer patients,40 patients with end-stage treatment for active treatment,accounting for22.9%,135 patients gave up treatment,accounting for 77.1%.52.0% patients were selected by the families of patients,28.6% were selected by patients and their families,only 19.4% by the patient's own choice.2.Age,family level of education,primary caregiver,and end-treatment options were the influencing factors that affect the end-stage treatment of cancer patients.Increased age was a risk factor for end-stage active treatment of cancer patients.With the increase of age,the likelihood of patients choosing to give up treatment increases(OR=1.927,95%CI:1.007-3.687);The higher the degree of family education,the lower the likelihood that the patient chooses to give up treatment(OR=0.589,95%CI:0.013-0.928);the higher the total monthly income of the family,the lower the likelihood that the patient will choose to give up treatment(OR=0.370,95%CI:0.112-0.817);the lower the likelihood that the primary caregiver will choose to give up treatment for the child,Husband and wife relationship between the patients 0.344times(95%CI:0.130-0.912);end-stage treatment is the choice of "patients" choose to give up the possibility of treatment is to choose the family is 0.168 times(95%CI:0.055-0.515),the choice of people is "family + patients" choose to give up the possibility of treatment is to choose Family of 0.169 times(95% CI: 0.060-0.477).CONCLUSIONS:1.Both the active and abandon treatment were the ways of the treatment decision in the end-stage treatment of cancer patients,the majority of which held the decision of abandon treatment.2.Age,family level of education,family total monthly income,primary caregiver and terminal treatment options are the factors that affect the end-stage treatment of cancer patients.
