Objective:To investigate the effect of combined sequential characteristics of TCM nursing method for patients with osteoarthritis of the knee joint function. Methods:Select the rheumatology department of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Guiyang College of Traditional Chinese Medicine and met the inclusion criteria of knee osteoarthritis in 120 cases, according to random number table method, the ratio of 1:1 is divided into 60 cases in the treatment group,60 cases in the control group. The patients in the two groups were treated with conventional non steroidal anti-inflammatory drug meloxicam orally, meloxicam 7.5mg,1 times/day orally,2 groups were gieven routine nursing care, the patients in the treatment group were treated with triple sequential characteristics of TCM nursing method on the basis of control group intervention, the first step to" Tongbi tincture"wine rub outside the affected knee, interval of half an hour;the second step to"Haitongpi Decoction"Tazi treatmen;the third step to Miao medicine"Wuteng powder"Chinese medicine paste paste deposited, once a day,2 Monday of course of treatment, two groups were observed for 1 courses. Before and after treatment using visual analogue scale (VAS), knee osteoarthritis severity index(ISOA)score and the world health organization quality of life scale short form(WHO-BREF)evaluate the illness severity and quality of life. Results:The treatment group total curative effect is better than that of control group(P<0.05). ?The treatment group and the control group can reduce the ISOA score, there were significant differences in the improvement of knee joint function(P>0.01), the intervention group the pain or discomfort and daily life ability score decreased significantly (P<0.05),but the maximum walking distance score of patients in the two groups had no significant difference (P>0.05). Comparison of the efficacy of joint function, clinical control of 31 cases in treatment group (51.67%),12 cases were markedly improved(20.00%), effective in 13 cases(21.67%),4 cases were ineffective(6.67%), the total efficiency of 93.33%. Clinical control group of 13 cases of control group(21.67%),21 cases were markedly improved(35.00%), effective in 19 cases (31.67%),7 cases were ineffective(11.67%), the total effective rate 88.33%,the treatment group joint function significantly better than the control group(P<0.01). ?The treatment group and the control group could reduce the pain score (P<0.01), but the treatment group improved pain scores than the control group (P<0.05). Pain curative effect comparison, the treatment group 15 knees(17.24%) were markedly effective, progressive 27 knees(31.03%), effective 39 knees(44.83%), invalid 6 knees(6.90%), the total effective rate was 91.95%;Progress control group 6 knees were markedly improved(7.06%),progressive 29 knees(34.12%), effective 36 knees (42.35%), invalid 16 knees(18.82%), the total effectiveness 81.18%, pain in the treatment group curative effect surpasses the control group(P<0.05).?The score of quality of life between two groups had no significant difference, except the score of social relations and environmental fields(P>0.05),physiological and psychological field the score of the differences were statistically significant (P<0.01 or P<0.05), and the treatment group scores were higher, there is a statistically significant differences (P<0.01).Conclusion:Sanlian sequential characteristics of TCM nursing method can improve the patients with osteoarthritis of the knee joint function, relieve pain, improved patient's survival quality.
