The process of urban development needs to face the conflict between social economic development and regional cultural protection.There are many contradictions and problems between the two.“Livable cities are not only hardware construction,but more importantly urban culture cultivation ”.Among them,the planned protection of historical blocks is an important link for the unique style of the city.The protection of old blocks under the perspective of regional culture is not limited to the preservation of individual buildings,but also includes the history of certain areas.culture.The historical district is a space place for residents to carry out activities such as production and daily life in a certain range.It is not only the buildings but also the historical records left by them.However,in the actual development of domestic cities today,non-active outflows of local residents have occurred,and cultural phenomena such as the loss of cultural heritage in historical districts have disappeared.In contrast,the successful cases of protection and renewal of historic districts in Taiwan are worth learning and thinking.This research topic is the protection and design of Taipei’s Kangqinglong Street District in the context of regional culture,aiming to promote the social development that has not been adapted to modern cities.The planned and protected historical districts carry out planned protection and design,use landscape design and orientation design methods to systematically plan and design,enhance the use of functions,display the historical street features,and evoke people’s historical memories.This is the purpose of this paper.significance.
