The patient's physiological status and breathing machine fault can be closely monitored through monitoring the concentration of the gas,thus guide doctors' operations,enhance the safety of the surgery and decrease the incidence of medical accidents.At present,the research for medical gas measurement is so lacked that gas modules are very expensive,so patient monitors with gas measurement has not been widely used yet.This paper describes the development of a new kind of medical gas monitor,which integrates a domestic carbon dioxide measurement module.The monitor features low cost and high reliability.Its main components are F4 series MCU of ST and a TFT LCD controller.Its main functions include common physiological parameter and gas parameter data gathering,storage and display.The software runs in uC/OS operating system.The application software finishes every function parts by multi function management.GUI internal core finishes display of interfacebound and menu function.During the development,some special medical industry standards and electrical safety standards(EMC is included)are put in a very important position.As a result,the monitor's performance meets all the requirements mentioned above after verification and clinical test.Deficiency and some improvements are enumerated at the end of the paper.
