With the rapid development of Chinese economy, an increasing number of people begins to pursue a better household environment and a higher quality of life,so the demand for smart homes is more and more intense. In recent years, smart homes are a new concept, it is a blend of automatic control technology, computer technology and wireless sensor network technology. So far, smart houses are in the early stages of the industry, and it has a broad space for development.Smart home systems take communication equipments, household appliances and home security devices that related to various of information in home in effectively control and realize information exchange by home bus technology networking. At the same time , we make the family network connected to the Internet, and we use the remote monitoring system to realize the remote control of household. With an increasing number of enterprises begin to reseach the smart homes, the research techniques about smart home have become more mature than ever in recent years.There have been many smart homes into the market, and they are widely used in growing number of families.This paper firstly elaborates the process of historical development and current situation of the development of smart home at home and abroad, and analyzes the problems existing in the smart home industry, such as: smart home system do not have a unified technical standard,and according to their company's technical ability,each manufacturer manufactures smart home products that belongs to their own company,So lacking unified standard causes the product of different manufacturer unable to achieve effective docking, and leads to a bad user experience. Many people think Smart homes are very expensive, lack stability and low cost performance.To cure the above problems, the paper designs an intelligent control system of bonsai. The system use Arduino as the master controller, makes an organic combination of plant strata and animals layer, and realizes the remote monitoring through the network platform. The system has two kinds of working modes as manual mode and automatic mode. The automatic mode has four functions as oxygen aeration,watering, temperature control and supplementary light, which make the temperature,humidity and light intensity inside the bonsai maintained within the appropriate scope.While the manual mode can be achieved by gestures to control the system to execute commands like watering, turning on and off the light in which people could experience the fun of human-computer interaction. In the design of the remote monitoring function, Analysis and comparison of several short-range wireless communication technologies first, select the Wi-Fi to achieve LAN communications;then with the help of LEWEI50 Cloud Platform for data analysis and processing, after the LEWEI50 account binding to the WeChat account, we can get the bonsai state by mobile phone. Actually, physical tests have verified the feasibility and reliability of the system design.
