In recent years,frequent earthquakes happen around the world.The study of earthquake resistance,shock absorption and isolation of buildings has been paid more and more attention.The object of this paper is a new type of self-resetting isolated structure,and its nonlinear seismic response is discussed.Under the earthquake,the isolation flange in the new multi-direction self-resetting isolated structure can slide relative to the base seat,so that the displacement of the upper structure is smaller than that of the non-isolated building.After the end of the earthquake,the isolation flange can use the great weight of the upper structure to return to the lowest point of the base seat,which called the ability to self-resettlement.In this paper,the nonlinear restoring force model of a new multi-direction self-resetting isolation structure is established,and the effective stiffness calculation method of the isolated structure is derived.A finite element analysis software,Abaqus,is used to simulate the dynamic response of the isolated seismic layer under the horizontal X-direction earthquake.The seismic isolation structure is established by using the nonlinear connection unit in the SAP2000 structural analysis software.We established the isolated frame structure and non-isolated frame structure to compare their seismic response,like the deformation of the frame structure,the shear force,the displacement,the velocity and the acceleration of the building.From the horizontal damping coefficient of the isolated structure,we can find that the horizontal shear force of the frame base is reduced by more than 60%.At the same time,through the shape of the hysteresis curve of the seismicity layer,the energy dissipation of the isolated structure in the earthquake is affected by great friction,that is,the energy is consumed by friction.Abaqus seismic isolation model and SAP2000 isolated frame structure all demonstrate the good isolation performance,energy dissipation capacity and self-reset capability of the new multi-direction self-resetting isolation structure.
