The cooperation between Behrens and the AEG has long been a memorable case as designers and companies working together, and it occurred to Behrens that he has to keep balance between business and design, and even culture for the cooperation. The development of technology has brought us companies that has never been seen in such a huge scale, so as to new methods of producing. Facing this, what Behrens took as a reaction is not to follow the nostalgia the Arts and Crafts movement hold, but rather advocating for a "Zeitgeist" and calling for a new era, and right with this spirit Behrens started his cooperation with the AEG company. In my opinion as for the formation of the cooperation, the context at that time and the similarity of the two individuals are reasons that should not be ignored. By collecting and putting some evidence in order, and dividing the design activities of Behrens into three parts as graphic design, industrial design and architectural design, I found out that Behrens was very activated in facing new producing methods and propaganda directly. His design followed the rule of business while his forms also unified. Yet it is still not a simple cooperate action that Behrens was pursuing, but rather a responsibility towards the society that initiated him to lead the aesthetic qualities of people, and to form art as a new dimension in industry.
