Hydropower is to convert the water power in rivers and lakes into electricity to serve users.Frequency and voltage deviation rate are the most important indicators to measure the power quality. Hydrogovernor Controls the stability speed of hydraulic generator. Hydraulic turbine governing system is a complex system, which is nonlinear, time-varying and non minimum phase characteristics, with Uncertainty factors of the external environment's Multi degeneration and Internal dynamic characteristics.those makes it difficult to control the hydraulic turbine governing system.therefore, It has become a hot spot in the field of control engineering, especially for the research of water and electricity, to find effective regulation means or advanced control strategies.At present, PID adjustment method is still mainly used in Service turbine governor at home and abroad. But it is very difficult to describe the transfer function and the state equation of the hydraulic turbine governing system accurately.Guaranting the operating performance of the system with the fixed parameter PID adjustment is also difficult. To this end, this article from the angel of the control strategy puts forward the classical control strategy and intelligent control strategy of the combination of the way, a fuzzy adaptive PID control method is designed for hydraulic turbine regulating system. And in view of the roughness of the fuzzy adjustment,the variable universe theory is introduced to realize the dynamic change of the fuzzy control rules, and the adjustment effect of the fuzzy PID controller is optimized.In this paper, the structural characteristics of hydraulic turbine governing system are briefly introduced, and the linear mathematical model of each part is established. On the basis of the controlled system model, the conventional PID controller, fuzzy adaptive PID controller and variable universe fuzzy PID controller are designed respectively. Based on the MATLAB/SIMULINK simulation platform, three control strategies are used to control the same system, which is based on the no load frequency disturbance and load disturbance, and so on. The validity and superiority of the variable universe fuzzy PID controller applied in hydraulic turbine governing system is verified by simulation, which provides a theoretical support for improving the operation performance of the hydraulic turbine governing system.
