Shanghai,as an international metropolis, has developed and renewed its cities at a faster pace. This poses higher requirements for urban managers and planners in the management and planning of cities. However, the traditional sources of planning data are mainly social and economic statistics and data such as questionnaires.Such data collection consumes a great deal of manpower, material resources and financial resources. At the same time, this kind of data has a certain lag and macroscopically, which is not helpful to the research on the microscopic scale. If collecting the resident travel log,it can not guarantee the objectivity. In recent years, civilian GPS devices in the vehicle and mobile terminals and the popularity of big data technology.Making use of the GPS data of taxis that originally carried large amounts of travel information and space-time data. These GPS data contain the travel time and space information of residents, using the data mining technology to get the rules of residents' travel behaviors hidden behind the data, discovering the active space of cities, exploring new ways to solve the traffic congestion, and choosing the location based on LBS Provide a scientific basis.Based on this, this article selected GPS track data recorded by 3462 taxis from May 12 to June 12,2010 as the data source, obtained 696 consecutive 32-day records after data cleaning and screening and recorded intact and error-free GPS data. And as a data to explore the passenger's travel laws, urban activity, the calculation of carbon emissions and carbon emissions combined with GPS data measures. The main conclusions of this paper are as follows:(1)Passenger travel showed obvious fluctuations.During a week, taxi service gradually increased and reached a peak on Saturday or Sunday. The number of trips on rest days is significantly above the working day.During the one-day period, the lowest point of travel demand occurred at 4-6 o'clock, the working day peaked at around 10 a.m.and 8 p.m.,and the rest day peaked at about 12 a.m.and about 9 p.m.After clustering the upper and lower passenger points by Kmeans cluster,it is found that there are more active and active passenger centers in Pudong New Area.(2)The urban active space in Shanghai presents a process of "central urban area-transport hub-central urban area".And in the large time scale range shows a clear "one with four points" distribution pattern. And the average active level of the rest day is higher than the average active level of the working day.The morning peak time of the rest day is two hours later than the working day.During the active afternoon, the city has a very active day on the working day and the rest day Close to late working hours at rush hour ended at 20 o'clock and extended to 22 o'clock on rest day.(3)The spatial and temporal distribution of carbon emissions from car rental is similar to that of urban active space as a whole.Mainly concentrated in Shanghai, mainly in transport hubs and commercial centers.Combined with the characteristics of the trip, the paper puts forward the emission reduction method of setting taxi stops, and finds that 42,000 taxis can reduce the yearly CO emission by at least 2500 tons.
