Superamolecular Chemistry is a kind of chemistry that bases on non-covalent bondinteractions as van der waals force,H-bond,?-?stacking form some subjects that have some particular functions.Cucurbit[n]urils is a new kind of highly symmetric macrocycles which is developed after the crown ethers ? cyclodextrins ? calixarenes in the field of supramolecular chemistry.However,because of the harsh solubility of common cucurbit[n]urils,the further research on the properties and its application of cucurbit[n]urils have been limited.In order to improve the solubility difference,this paper synthesized fully substituted cyclopentano cucurbit[5]uril?CyP5Q[5]?and fully substituted cyclopentano cucurbit[6]uril?CyP6Q[6]?,CyP5Q[5] will form supramolecular self-assembly with alkali,alkaline earth metal;CyP6Q[6]and supramolecular self-assembly of rare earth metals,using X-ray single crystal diffraction,X-ray powder diffraction,Fourier infrared and characterized the elements of EDS analysis.The results showed that CyP5Q[5] with alkali,alkaline earth metal forming supramolecular self-assembly similar structure.CyP5Q[5] will form the molecule capsules with Na+,K+,Rb+,Ca2+and Sr2+,at the ends of the metal ions and five carbonyl oxygen ligand,cavity package and a molecule of water or a molecular chloride ions;The Cs+,Ba2+ionic radius is bigger,can form one-dimensional supramolecular with CyP5Q[5] chain;But the Mg2+ion radius is too short to direct coordination with CyP5Q[5] carbonyl oxygen.CyP6Q[6] and supramolecular self-assembly of rare earth metals,CyP6Q[6] directly form one-dimensional supramolecular coordination with most of them,and Yb3+,Tm3+,Lu3+has shorter ionic radius without CyP6Q[6] coordination,this phenomenon is conducive to the separation of light and heavy rare earth.The CyP6Q[6] by EDS electron energy spectrum for both the separation effect of rare earth metals far apart is very good,and the closer the separation effect of rare earth metals.
