In recent years,polymer microspheres have been widely used in photonic crystal,sewage treatment,catalyst,environmental protection,sensor,drug targeting carrier and intelligent biomimetic materials because of its unique physical and chemical properties.Colloidal crystals,as a new functional material,have important application prospects in the preparation of photonic crystals,optical modulation storage and sensors.Colloidal crystals have a beautiful structure color,how to apply this special material to the coatings industry and other industries to replace the pollution of the environment of the pigment or dye,has aroused widespread interest in academia and industry.The application of micron-sized monodisperse porous polymer microspheres as a liquid column packing has become increasingly important as the development of technology.In this paper,monodisperse nanometer polymer microspheres with pH-responsive properties were prepared by the method of synthesizing polystyrene latex particles by soap-free emulsion polymerization,and two-dimensional colloidal crystals were prepared by gas-liquid interface assembly method.The results show that the colloidal crystals have good pH response and have been successfully applied to the detection of acidic solutions.Monodisperse micrometer-sized polymethyl methacrylate microspheres were used as seeds to prepare monodisperse polymethylmethacrylate cross-linked porous microspheres with a particle size of about 2.5μm by two-step seed polymerization.By adjusting the different porogen system,the monodisperse porous microspheres with different surface topography can be obtained,and the pores of the microspheres obtained by the toluene: DBP = 1: 1 porogen system is the smallest,the specific surface area is the largest,is used as an ideal material for liquid chromatography column packing.And used as column packings,can successfully complete the separation of arginine,glycine and glutamic acid,and the separation effect is good,is the use of liquid chromatography separation of hydrophilic amino acid of new materials.In addition to this,monodisperse latex particles were also prepared by emulsion polymerization and soap-free emulsion polymerization.After the acid/alkali treatment,porous latex particles with rich carboxyl groups were obtained.In the next study,the use of carboxyl on the surface of the porous latex particles,a variety of functional colloidal crystal sensors were prepared.The pH-responsive colloidal crystals studied in this paper have the differences of visual pH of the observed solution,and the structure of colloidal crystals formed under acid-base condition can be changed obviously,which can be applied to colloidal crystal acid-base sensor.The monodisperse porous PMMA cross-linked microspheres were prepared by this method for the first time and have great application prospect in separating the hydrophilic amino acid as a column packing.The preparation of porous latex particles by acid/alkali treatment method,the assembly offunctionalized modified intelligent response colloidal crystal sensor,has a large application prospects.
