Iprovalicarb is a very novel systemic fungicide,which was developed and commercialized by Bayer Company and largely used in potato,tomato,grape,cucumber,mandarin and tobacco planting.It has a good therapeutic effect on diseases that caused by peronosporaceae and phytophthora fungus.Besides,iprovalicarb is a kind of alpha amino acid fungicide and shows a certain biology activities,which has a good effect on plant growth.This paper mainly explored the synthesizing of iprovalicarb and optimized synthetic procedure of important intermediates in order to find a manufacturing technique which shows mild condition,simple starting materials,low energy consumption,high purity and excellent yielding.1.P-Methylacetophenone and formate were chosen as starting materials to generate intermediate 1-(4-tolyl)ethylamine in the process of experiment.Single factor variable method w as applied to optimize the synthesizing procedure.The best result we achieved is:the mole ratio of starting material is 1:4,reaction time is 2.5 hours,reaction temperature is 180 degrees,the best feeding batch of ammonium formate is twice.2.During the process of synthesizing from 1-(4-tolyl)ethylamine to iprovalicarb,we concluded a reaction condition that was more in line with actual production,that is iprovalicarb can be synthesized from 1-(4-tolyl)ethylamine,valine and isopropyl chloroformate with N,N-Dimethylbenzylamine as catalyst and methyl tert-butyl ether as reaction solvent.3.We designed the production process flow chart of fragment synthesizing of iprovalicarb based on practical production requirements.Iprovalicarb is a very important new fungicide,which has broad prospects of application.By optimizing the manufacturing techniques,it has a guiding significance to the actual production application,thus gain greater economic benefits.
