In this paper,we have carried out a systematic study on the elevated quantity performance of internal and external rotation swirl atomizing tray in air-water system by changing the F factor(empty tower kinetic energy factor),the clear liquid height of tray,cap type,bottom gap height,gas exit tube height and other factors,which were compared to study with the same size VST respectively under the same experimental conditions.The results showed that:the relative liquid phase elevated quantity increased with the clear liquid height of tray increasing;the relative liquid phase elevated quantity of internal rotation swirl atomizing tray decreased with empty tower kinetic energy factor increasing;when cap type was flat baffle type,bottom gap height was 18mm,gas exit tube height was 260mm,the area ratio of annular gap and gas exit tube was about 1.16 and the clear liquid height of tray was higher,it without wire mesh the top of gas exit tube had a better elevated quantity;the relative liquid phase elevated quantity of external rotation swirl atomizing tray first increased and then reduced with empty tower kinetic energy factor increasing;the cyclone blades were facing upwards,cap type was flat baffle type,bottom gap height was 13mm,gas exit tube height was 260mm,the area ratio of annular gap and gas exit tube was about 1.16 and the clear liquid height of tray was higher,it without wire mesh on the top of gas exit tube had a better elevated quantity.The elevated quantity performance of internal rotation swirl atomizing tray is better than VST.The mass transfer mechanism of gas-liquid phases of swirl atomizing tray was analyzed in this paper.The mathematical model of the elevated quantity of the tray was deduced by energy conservation and finally we got the mathematical model of the elevated quantity of swirl atomizing tray,which were compared with the actual elevated quantity of the tray.It showed that the average absolute error of internal and external swirl atomizing tray were respectively 7%and 4.02%.The experimental data was in good agreement with the model values.
