In recent years, with the rapid development of society and the improvement of people's living standards, people's requirements for quality of life are getting higher and higher, but harmful microorganisms such as bacterias and molds always threaten our life. Therefore,it is urgent to develop an efficient antibacterial material. In this study, laponite which is a kind of layered silicate, with higher specific surface area, higher cation exchange capacity and significant swelling properties was used as the raw material. In order to prepare the laponite which can not only adsorb bacteria but also kill bacteria, the laponite was modified by the solution intercalation and the surface modification. In this paper, the laponite was firstly modified by the solution intercalation method through intercalating kinds of quaternary ammounium salts into the layers of laponite. Then used XRD and antibacterial performance strength screening step by step,it is concluded that the optimal reaction temperature was 80?,the optimum reaction time was 8 h,and the best reaction ratio was 1:2.Then chitosan/organo laponite composites were prepared by using tetradecyltrimethylaimonium bromide, cetyltrimethylammonium bromide, chitosan and laponite as raw materials. The feature of the structure and morphology were studied by FTIR,XRD,SEM,TEM and other analytical methods. The antibacterial properties of chitosan/organic laponite composites were studied by means of inhibition zone, plate count,TTC coloration and intimal permeability.Secondly, the laponite was modified by ?-cyclodextrin which was carried out by surface modification.A new method was used to prepare cyclodextrin grafted organic laponite. The effect of pH and initial concentration on the entrapment efficiency of it were investigated. The structure, antibacterial property and drug release kinetics of the product were studied by means of various characterization methods. In this study, two kinds of modification methods were successfully used to modify the laponite. The antimicrobial rate of LTTC to E.coli was 100.0%and S aureus was 85.3%.The antimicrobial rate of LCTC to E.coli was 99.9%and S aureus was 99.9%.The release mechanism of cyclodextrin grafted organic laponite was Fick diffusion. The antibacterial rate of the ampicillin/organic laponite grafted?-cyclodextrin to E coli was 95.9%and S aureus was 100.0%.
