Research On Cheongsam Of Yitong Manchu Museum In Jilin Province

In our unified multi-ethnic country,all ethnic groups have their unique history and culture,which are important elements to our society.Manchu one of the northern China's ethnic minorities of a long history.Manchu significantly contribute to the development of the Chinese nation in the history.Manchu is famous for creating a unique national culture and art and her splendid culture to produce in Chinese history has a great impact on the world.Art will show the essence of a culture of a group and language of art from Chinese multi-ethnic groups express the spirit of our nation.Cheongsam,as an important part of Manchu clothing culture,is not only a national costume,but an inheritage of thousands of years from the ancestors of Manchu fishing,hunting and farming.The ancestors of Manchu have lived in our northeast part of China,where is so cold that there the mountain is white and river is black.Manchu is one the north ethnics which have been literally recorded.In the procedure of history,Jurchen people has developed and moved during Dynasty of Song,Yuan and Ming.Nurhaci united all the tribes in during Ming dynasty resulting the prosperity of Jurchen people at that era.According to the sixth national census in 2010,the Manchu population in the mainland is about 10.41 million.The population of the Manchu population in Taiwan is about 12,000,ranking third among the total population of ethnic minorities in China.With the development of history,most of the Manchu scattered in Jilin,Inner Mongolia,Heilongjiang and other regions as well as in the main settlements established Manchu Autonomous County and a number of Manchu Township.Yitong County which means roaring river in Manchu language is the origin of Manchu and the only autonomous county in Jilin Province.From the ancient retrospective,part of the Hercynian Jurchen in the late Ming Dynasty settled in the Yitong,where they opened up the foundation and thriving.After the mixture with Jianzhou Jurchen,the big tribe was collectively referred to as "Manchuria".From the view of history points,Yitong and Manchu have a very strong connection with each other.In 2001,the Yitong Manchu Museum was established,known as the "Manchu Township",which was formerly known as the Yitong Manchu Folklore Museum,which was created in June 1987.In this well-designed and beautiful building,the museum display almost 4600 relics which can be clarified up to 630 species.The museum displays the seven themes including Manchu's origins,production and life,cultural characteristics,cultural etiquette,faith as well as ancient and modern Yitong.It shows the beautiful Manchu style picture from the Manchu cultural relics,photographs and models.Manchu ancestors with hard work and wisdom depicts a colorful folk culture.From different aspects of the Yitong,Manchu reflects the long history and splendid culture.The museum displays a large number of Manchu costumes,arranging from the footwear to the exquisite accessories.Also,it displays large proportion of cheongsam of different styles,together with jewelry and accessories.When the author were visiting the Museum,the instructor was also wearing a cheongsam,to explain the whole process.Cheongsam is evolved from the Manchu robe,and Manchu robe generated from their ancestors' long-term fight against the nature and experience of farming and hunting.After the Manchu moved towards south into the central part of China,the lifestyle has significantly changed from the hunting into farming.Cheongsam is a culture carrier which can give hints about the life in the ancient time.The author try to explain the aesthetic characteristics and cultural connotations of it by the view of art.The first chapter introduces the origin and significance of the topic research,the purpose and method of research and the definition of related concepts.This paper takes the cheongsam in Yitong Manchu Museum as the research object,and uses the historical literature research method and the field investigation method to analyze and study the cheongsams in the museum.The main reason for this study is that it can expand the research field of Manchu cheongsam by studying the fine system of cheongsam,and provide some theoretical basis for the inheritance and development of cheongsam art.The second chapter is an overview of the cheongsam,the main content is to introduce the history of cheongsam.In this chapter,the author has consulted a large number of ancient books,the former research scholars for the development and evolution of cheongsam system for the system finishing.The third chapter gives an overview of the Yitong Manchu Museum cheongsam,from the two parts of the whole cheongsam and clothing accessories.The fourth chapter analyzes the aesthetic characteristics of the Yitong Manchu Museum cheongsam,and summarizes the two aspects of cheongsam and cheongsam decoration by summarizing the collected images.The fifth chapter systematically analyzes the cultural connotation of the Yitong Manchu Museum cheongsam,mainly from the two aspects of historical inheritance and contemporary interpretation.
