With the improvement of people's living standard,baby diapers have become more and more popular.Though there are many advantages on the use of diapers,it may form a moist environment after wearing for a long time,causing skin dieases or diaper rash.Therefore,the absorbility of diapers needs to be improved to get a product having quick penetration of liquid and low infiltration rate.Acquisition distribution layer(ADL)is the nonwoven material sanwiched between the top sheet and the absorbent core,possessing rapid absorption of liquid and rapid penetration to expand the absorption of the core absorption.The absorption core utilization can be increased through great penetration performance.In this study,the penetration mechanism of ADL was studied to find that the liquid absorption behavior was related to fiber hydrophilicity,fineness,the number and size of the apertures.9 kinds unusual ADLs were selected for numbering and testing to study the effect of physical properties on liquid penetration.It was found that the infiltration area increased under the conditions of fine fibers and high fluffy.In addition,the liquid used less time to permeate in the vertical direction with the increases of fiber fineness,pore size.The arrangement of fibers also had a great influence on the diffusion properties of the liquid.Secondly,the influence of different structure of nonwoven materials on the penetration performance is studied.Viscose fibers,fine denier ES fibers were respectively mixed with coarse denier ES fibers,separately making 3 types of non-woven fabrics with different double-layer structure and 7 types of three-layer structure.The liquid penetration test and absorption area test were carried out on the experimented nonwovens.It was displayed that the wetback of ADL was increased in the existence of viscose fiber.In the double-layer composite structure,the fine-grained ES mixed fiber material with "parallel-laying + parallel-laying" had the best comprehensive diversion effect;In the mixed materials,the diversion area of the viscose fiber mixed material is higher than that of the fine denier ES fiber,and the combined area of the parallel laying + 90° laying + parallel laying is the largest and the comprehensive diversion effect is the best.Finally,spray-bonded nonwoven fabric as a new thermal-bonded nonwoven material was studied by observing the internal structure and testing liquid permeability.The fiber in internal was vertical,reducing the resistance to liquid penetration,possessing high permeability and moisture permeability.Under the condition of the same surface density,the penetration time of the spray-bonded nonwoven fabric wass lower than that of the ordinary diversion layer,and the absorption area is larger than that of the ordinary diversion layer.It could be seen that upright cotton in diapers diversion layer of the use of great prospects.
