The Amphiphilic Self-assembly Of Calixarene Ethoxylate And Its Reaction | | Posted on:2018-04-25 | Degree:Master | Type:Thesis | | Country:China | Candidate:Q J Ren | Full Text:PDF | | GTID:2351330515499290 | Subject:Materials engineering | | Abstract/Summary: | PDF Full Text Request | | p-Tert-butyl-calix[4]arene O-tetraethylacyl chloride(I)was synthesized and its amphiphilic self-assembly in hexane and chloroform was studied.Dynamic light scattering(DLS)showed that I could aggregate into particles of average diameter of 353nm.Hexane solution of I interfacial-polymerized with piperazine(PIP)aqueous solution could achieved a membrane piled up by hollow microspheres.Field emission scanning electron microscopy(FE-SEM)data indicated that 3 g/L I and 30 g/L PIP had obtained the clearest image of membrane.interfacial-polymerization between I hexane solution and aqeous solution of other diamines confirmed that PIP is the best monomer to prepare the membrane piled up by hollow microspheres,because its short chain made deformation of crosslink structure more difficult.Hence,the shape of hollow microspheres formed by amphiphilic self-asembly and polymeization was kept intactly.When the molecule chain was longer,the wall of hollow microspheres was comparably soft and easy to deform,so the morphology of microspheres did not maintained.The model of mechanism of such mophology was also deduced that it was the synergy of amphiphilic self-assembly and inerfacial-polymeization that caused hollow microspheres-piled up membrane.The amphiphilic self-assembly of I in chloroform was investigated by UV-vis spectrophotometry.The critical micelle concentration(CAC)of I was 1.13 × 10-4 mol/L.Above CAC,there are 200nm of average diameter of particles in the solution.TEM and DLS data illustrated that microcapulse of average diameter of 500nm could be prepared through titration of PIP chloroform solution without agitation.UV-vis and TEM images showed that the crosslinkage degree of the wall of microcapsules was the highest when the raion of I:PIP was 1:3 and titration speed influenced little on the formation of microcapsules.The mechanism of the formation of microcapsules was described as the synergy of amphiphilic self-asembly and solution polycondensation of I in chloroform.It was also founf that tolune could induce callapse of microcapsules,which need more study work to explain. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | calix[4]arene, self-assembly interfacial polymerization, self-assembly solution polycondesation, hollow microsphere piled up membrane, microcapsule | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
