Copper is an important non-ferrous metal,also a kind of basic materials for industry.Copper is widely used in military industry,electric power,communication,traffic,transportation,light industry,building,machinery and other industries.With the rapid development and promotion of China’s industrialization and information process,copper consumer demand is growing more rapidly than ever befor.In 2013,China’s copper consumption has amounted to 8300000 tons.At present,copper resources in China to feed the industrial exploitation and utilization is in a serious shortage.The reduction of copper resource which is easy to process mainly in rich copper ore and sulfide copper gradually increases the propotation of oxidized copper.Low-grade refractory oxidized copper ore occupies a large part of all the provened resourse in China.Due to the lack of efficient development methods and new technologies,the development and use of the refractory copper is facing great difficulties.These kind of refractory oxide ores are mainly distributed in Yunnan,Hubei,Guangdong,Xinjiang,Inner Mongolia,Sichuan and Heilongjiang provinces.The oxidized copper ore comes from Lanping Yanziyan of Yunnan province.The ore assays 1.66%Cu with a oxidation rate of 86.75%and a combined rate of 20.48%.The calcium and magnesium content in the ore is 47.54%.The ore contains 0.57%As and 153g/t Ag.There are fifteen kinds of minerals in this ore.Carbonate,sulfide,oxide,silicate,sulfate and arsenate rank the top six major categories.The main valuable copper mineral are malachite and azurite,and the main gangue minerals are calcite and dolomite.Harmful element arsenic partly exists in duftite as independent minerals,and the rest exists in the gangue minerals in a fine inclusions and mechanical mixing materials.The valuable elements in this ore are copper and silver,and harmful elements is arsenic.These ore properties show that the ore is a typical complex refractory oxidized copper ore.In order to efficiently use this kind of oxide copper ore resources,in-depth study of its process mineralogy characteristics and processing technology has very vital significance.This paper aims at the benefication of the ore sample from Lanping Yanziyan,where the full flotation process,in-depth study of the ore mineralogy characteristics and ammonia leaching-Extraction-electrowinning-leaching slag flotation combined flowsheet at atmospheric pressure are conducted.The research results show that,the production of copper concentrate with full flotation process has a big problem that arsenic in ore enriched with the enrichment of copper and silver.Arsenic content in copper concentrate cannot meet the minimum requirements of copper concentrate.Using of atmospheric pressure ammonia leaching-extraction electrowinning process can produce electrolytic copper.Leaching slag flotation can efficiently recover copper and silver from the leaching slag,but still can not impede the arsenic into the flotation products.Results of full flotation process tests can gain copper concentrate assaying 21.61%Cu at the recovery of 66.13%with a silver grade of 2058.82g/t at the recovery of 68.35%.The arsenic content in the concentrate was as high as 3.82%which is far beyond the requirements.Atmospheric pressure ammonia leaching-extraction-electrowinning-leaching slag flotation process can get the better processing performances.The leaching rate of copper is 78.92%,and silver leaching rate is 8.07%.The copper extraction rate was 99.98%,and the reverse extraction rate is 98.48%,the purity of the finished copper by electrowining is more than 99.95%.Leaching slag flotation can gain the silver concentrate.The silver grade was 1999.58g/t,and the copper grade is 3.84%.The silver recovery of whole process was 82.33%.Evidence shows that,the difficulty in processing this kind of oxidized copper ore is arsenic."Ammonia leaching-extraction-electrowinning" technology can effectively realize the separation of copper and arsenic.Leaching slag flotation can effective recover the associated silver,but can not avoid the harmful element arsenic reporting to the concentrate products.This paper not only provides a rational technological route for the high arsenic complex copper oxide ore dressing,but also lay a foundation for the efficient utilization of this kind of ore.
