High slope angle, high slope, intensive rainfall, high degree of weathering, variety of rock slope, complex geological conditions and other factors restrict the safety and stability of a certain iron mine in Yunnan province. It is of important significance to explore influencing factors of the slope stability and analysis of slope stability for the mine safety production. Based on the characteristics of the weathering rock and the main factors that affect the stability of the slope. Applying slope stability analysis software Geo-studio on the background of a certain iron mine in Yunnan province, this thesis explores the effect of rainfall infiltration and the degree of rock weathering on slope stability, and the practical stability of the iron mine in Yunnan province. The main conclusions of the research are as follows:(1) Introduced the geographical, hydrological and mechanical features of the weathered rock, including the formation and distribution of slope weathering. The influencing factors and the judging method of the weathering degree.(2) Analyzed the main factors affecting the stability of slopes that have badly weathered is significance to the safety. The factors mainly include weathering degree,slope angle, height of the slope, dip angle of the rock, formation rock, structure, rainfall, excavation load and theinfluence of blasting, earthquake, time effect.(3) Explored the influence rules of rainfall infiltration on slope stability. The influence of rainfall infiltration on slope stabilitywas analyzed by combining with the practical engineering background of a certain iron mine in Yunnan, and applying the SIGMA/W module, SEEP/W module and SLOPE/W module of the slope analysis software GEO-Studio. According to the conditions by establishing numerical model, choosing reasonable parameters and boundary conditions, and simulating the rainfall infiltration and the distribution of slip surface of the slope under the conditions of different rainfall and duration, the results showed the safety factor of slope under different working conditions, and influencing rule of rainfall infiltration on slope stability.(4) Explored the influence rule of weathering degree on slope stability.The influence of rock weathering degree on slope stability was simulated by SEEP/W module and SLOPE/W module. On the base ofestablished numerical model, the safety of the slope is simulated by choosing the parameters of saturated water content and residual water content of the weathered rock under the same rainfall conditions, the results showed the relationship between saturated water content of weathered rock and slope stability. According to the relationship between the degree of rock weathering and saturated water content of rock, the influence of rock weathering degree on the slope stability was indirectly obtained.(5) Applied different methods to analyze the stability of the actual slope of a certain iron mine in Yunnan. The stability of the slope was analyzed by Geo-Studio. Meanwhile, Monte Carlo method was used from probably perspective to simulate the stability of slope, which suggested slope failure probability. Sensitivity analysis was applied to analyze the factors that affect the stability of the slope, which showed the internal friction angle of weathered rock has a greater impact on the stability of the slope. The analysis methods showed that the slope of a certain iron mine in Yunnan is stable and safe.
