| Mineral resources are the foundation of national economic development, and mineral resources are the embodiment of the national comprehensive strength. Economic development, scientific and technological progress cannot be separated from the mining industry. Copper is widely used in electrical, light industry, machinery manufacturing, construction industry, defense industry and other fields. Consumption of copper is listed that of behind aluminum in China’s non-ferrous materials. Although the copper resources are rich, the utilization rate of the resource is low, and the cost of copper development and utilization is high. As copper ore properties gradually tend to poor, fine and complex in China, therefore rational utilizing low grade copper ore is becoming increasingly important. This paper takes Yunnan Wenshan low grade refractory copper ores as the research samples, and MLA is used for detailed study on process mineralogy of ore. The results show that the ore contains 0.25% Cu. Mineralogical study shows the ore is of complex minerals, where chalcopyrite, pyrite and sphalerite are the main metallic minerals, and the main gangue minerals include Actinolite, epidote, chlorite and quartz. The composition of the main minerals and the relationship between the valuable minerals and the inclusion are studied in this paper. Copper sulfur bulk flotation and their separation process were used. Results show that the samples in a part of copper minerals and sulfide minerals are finely disseminated in the ore and finer grinding should be carried out to get the valuable mineral liberated. Therefore the bulk concentrate should be regrinded. The optimized flotation conditions as follows:the fineness of -200 mesh was 70%. The fineness of -400 mesh was 70%. The sulfur nitrogen was used as an inhibitor of copper mineral and MIBC as the pyrite. The recovery rate was 21.15% and the recovery was 87.98%. This study uses a wide range of conventional flotation reagents, and the flotation process is highly operational, for the domestic similar to the application of the mine to provide a reference. |
