Plastic water-based gravure ink is a friendly ink for environment, the ink does not containvolatile organic compounds, it not only improve the environment quality, but also guarantee thehealth of the ink manufacturers and printed operators in the production and application process,so as a green material the plastic water-based gravure printing ink is more widely used inprinting and packaging industry. However, due to the production process requirements of the inkis very high and the production process is relatively complex, the country’s development leveldoes not amounted to the requirements of the development of the High-grade Ink, only throughimports to meet the needs of the domestic market, that limits the development of the domesticprinting industry.Dispersion、drying and adhesion performance is the performance evaluation of plasticwater-based gravure ink, the purpose of this paper is to analyze the factors that which affects theink performance in the dispersion processes of plastic water-based gravure ink by experimentalmethods, then drawn the ideal raw material and dispersion method from experimentalcomparison, in order to improve the ink dispersion technology and the overall performance ofthe preparation of ink.The main of paper is the dispersion technology of plastic water-based gravure ink, toexplore the raw materials used, the time, order of addition in the dispersion process that affectsthe dispersion of the ink, and then analyze the ink dispersion how to affect the ink performance.On this basis, for further analyze the impact factors of the drying and adhesion of the ink, thepaper also mentioned the relationship between plastic printing material and ink adhesion.The paper concluded that use zirconium beads as the abrasive grinding medium is betterthan the glass beads in the grinding process of the plastic water-based gravure ink. Through theexperimental data we also found that the particle size of the grinding media and grinding timeboth take a great influence on the pigment dispersion. The grinding affection will affect inkperformance, when the solid particles in the ink gradually reduce, the performance of the ink willbe significantly improved. The different composition and the different amount of dilute solventsand dilute resin are the main factors of ink dry performance: the beginning dry performance ofink mainly affected by the proportion of the main solvent in the dilute solvents; radical inks dryperformance mainly by the amount of dilute solvent. Ink adhesion has a great relationship withfilm-forming resin types and ink dispersion, and the thickness of the substrates also affects theadhesion of the ink.
