The contour line is an important part of the topographic map,and it is also one of the most common ways of expressing topographic information.It plays an important role in many fields and is an important research content of cartography.In actual work,part of the area cannot be measured due to field measurements.In the actual mapping process,due to the lack of data,some contour lines are broken,which makes the contour lines incomplete and unsightly,which causes difficulties for the use and operation of subsequent contour lines.Therefore,how to accurately repair and reconstruct fracture contours is a hotspot and difficulty in current research.At present,the method of contour line data collection,in addition to field measurements,also uses remote sensing data for extraction.Usually,contour lines extracted from remote sensing data are complete.Therefore,in the current actual topographic map database,there are both complete contours and partially broken contours.The existing contour restoration studies did not consider the processing of such data,and there were problems such as inapplicability and inability to make good use of existing data.Therefore,the current repair work of the contour line mainly depends on the operation of the operator,which is inefficient and easy to misjudge the missed sentence.An automatic repair method is urgently needed.This paper mainly studies the problem of automatic restoration of fracture contours in topographic maps.Based on previous research results,an algorithm is designed and implemented to repair and reconstruct fracture contours based on current data.The main research content of this article is summarized as follows:1.Describes the knowledge involved in contour repair.The existing methods for repairing contour lines were studied.Based on the current requirements for contour line restoration,the basic principles and spatial relationships involved in contour lines were analyzed in detail.2.A similarity-based fracture contour restoration algorithm is proposed.First,the contour data is pre-processed,including the processing of the contour node and the connection to the boundary.Then,according to the data characteristics of the contour lines,search for,select,match,and connect the contour line breakpoints to repair the fracture contours.3.Summarized the problems that existed after the repair,and proposed different solutions for different problems.
