Shidong area is located in the middle east of Shixi bulge in Juggar Basin, neighbouring the hydrocarbon sunken in the west of the Pen-1 well, connecting with hundred million tons Shingxi oil field on the southwest. On the basis of relevant research at abroad and home, the paper adopts the study method integrating processing and interpretation, which ensures the quality of seismic data.People can improve the identification precision to seismic faults by the method and do some study on the delicate interpretation for structure, research about fault-fracture features and trap identification. The main achievements has been gained as fellow.1)Shidong district mainly witnessed three periods of important evolution:in late hercynian the structure uplifted inversely forming the rudiment; in yanshanian the uplifting was lasting shaping a series of tensive faults; in himalayan the uplifting became relatively weak.Nowadays the Shidong bulge shows nose near the north toward the east, the whole body is lifting from west to east, and the shaft part of bulge develop into break nose or fault block trap while south slow and north steep on the slope. There are three mesozoic groups:the main faults near the east towards the west, the subsidiary faults crossing main ones towards the northeast and the late faults longer along the northwest.2)According to analysis about oil deposit,Qingshui river group has characteristics of "block control, gathered along the beam". The paper was focus on the nose and combined with the identification of minor faults getting the overall implementation of the block-type trap 12 with an area of about 31km2. Study area under sand scale development, good relations reservoir cap, raised the main part Xishanyao eroded tip off, combined with fine fracture characterization, getting implementation J2x Jurassic fault-stratigraphic traps 5, an area of about 31km2, under implementation Jurassic fault block traps 4, serial number 8 layer traps, traps with a total area of approximately 44.8 km2.
