Farmland resources is the most essential resource and condition to guarantee the survival and development of mankind, it is one of the most important part of land resources. In recent years, the contradiction between urbanization and rural land is sharpened. Which caused the amount of farmland continue to decrease, and the quality continues to decline. The quantity reduction of farmland is tangible, while the quality decline of it is implicit, more stable and much difficult to recovery in short-term, its adverse effects is not inferior to, but even more than the quantity reduction of farmland. Therefore, quantitative grasp characteristics of spatial pattern of distribution area of cultivated land quality and its influencing factors, ensure that the amount of arable land, and through land consolidation, land reclamation, makes every effort to improve cultivated land quality, to protect the quality of cultivated land, cultivated land quantity and quality of management, so as to further enhance the grain production capacity to provide important scientific basis.This paper takes Qionglai City where in the Chengdu plain transition zone, the spatial distribution pattern of farmland resources quality and factors was studied by combined of geostatistics analysis, landscape ecology, GIS and canonical correlation analysis. The results showed:(1) Calculated based on the research area of cultivated land quality, takes farmland natural quality index between 2138-3097, such as natural quality between level 8-10, etc, the national natural level as a mean of 8.34, accounting for 66.59% of the arable land in the city; Takes such as quality of cultivated land utilization index between 946-1753, level between 7-11, etc, such as cultivated land countries level as a mean of 8.05, of which 7 etc give priority to, accounting for 39.45% of the arable land in the city; Cultivated land economic quality index between 1006-1938, economic level between 6-10, etc, the national economy as a mean of 7.28, of which 7 in places such as most, accounting for 38.13% of the arable land in the city.(2) The plain region of the farmland natural quality is best, the value between 2700-3097; followed by low hilly land, the value between 2600-2800; mountain area are the minimum which value less than 2600. Utilization quality is similar to natural quality. The value of plain region is between 1700-1800; followed by low hilly land, the value between 1300-1600; mountain area are general low, most of the values are berween 1000-1300. Economic quality are same as each qualities. From the whole city scope, the physical quality of cultivated land resource increases from the east to the west by the rise of the topography, randomness and variability of double restricted the quality of physical quality, the utilization of quality and economic quality distribution showed a high degree of variability.(3) Each quality index of diversification and concentration analysis showed:it is little differences in the plain mountain of physical quality,the diversity index value is 1.83, that land utilization is high and has strong dominance, we can see that plain region due to topographical location, soil conditions, high quality and good farming conditions, such as the use of arable land more fully and diversification. Low hilly land physical quality are plentiful, the diversity index value is 1.94, such as each area ratio is smaller, the area of cultivated land resource dominance degree is small, the index value is 0.48, the dominance index, the smallest are greatly influenced by human. The mountain area which three quality evenness index were bigger, which were 0.65?0.63?0.57, show that the area of cultivated land quantity is more, and don't cultivated land and the uniform distribution, homogeneous degree is higher. Hilly and plain areas of cultivated land quality of physical quality to advantage the mountain areas, hilly area of each quality cultivated land location advantage was lower than those of plain, the farming system and the partition of landform conditions.(4) Farmland quality of plain area is mainly influenced by utilization quality and economic quality, such as utilization and economic coefficient, the canonical correlation analysis of typical load were-10.525?10.949; Farmland quality of low hilly area is mainly influenced by utilization quality, the canonical correlation analysis of typical load was 6.200; Farmland quality of mountain area is mainly influenced by physical quality, such as terrain slope, soil texture, the canonical correlation analysis of typical load was 1.180.
